Venue Creator needs a wider, landscape screen to work with — please rotate your device or switch to a larger display to continue.
Build oval or horseshoe arenas from laser survey measurements.
Build standard flat-floor spaces like outdoor fields, ballrooms, and exhibit halls
Build fan-shaped layouts, multi-tier balconies, and sloped seating rakes.
Trace a venue from an uploaded floor plan or photo — upload, scale, and draw.
Open a project you saved earlier, picking up right where you left off.
Upload a PNG or JPEG of your venue's floor plan or a reference photo. You'll scale it, set an origin, and set the audience direction next.
The example file is a complete project. It contains a scaled and placed image with defined geometry.
Work through the three steps below.
Click two points with a known distance, then enter it below. Hold Shift to snap to 45°. Tip: use the longest distance you can — small errors get magnified over short spans.
Click the image where the 3D origin (0,0) should sit.
If known, set the audience axis to X or Y. Venue Synthesis default is Y.
Rotate the axis line to point toward the audience. Hold Shift to snap to 45°.
Use the Pen, Rectangle, and Circle tools above the image to trace and create 3D geometry.
Tips:
Corners and midpoints can be edited at any time using the Select tool and dragging. Circles do not contain editable corners; clicking on the boundary line modifies the diameter instead. Use the Move tool to move a plane along a fixed X or Y axis, or move it freely with the square.
Choose the plane type that best describes each plane: architectural or audience. Any plane can be extruded to create a solid object, like a room or a stage, by entering the extrusion height.
Choose the plane orientation, Faces In or Faces Out, that best describes the plane group.
No planes traced yet.
Import this .GCF directly into Venue Synthesis. In Venue Synthesis: Venue tab → + → 3D Geometry, then choose the exported .gcf file.
Import geometry into other acoustic simulation software with DXF.
Note, plane type information is not included in DXF files.
GCF and DXF files do not support embedded images — the photo shown here stays local to this app and is not part of the exported .gcf or .dxf. Add the image to Venue Synthesis or your CAD software separately.

Closes the open Point 1 curve by rendering a flat geometric line across the endpoints, squaring the floor at the downstage edge.
Stage Builder is coming soon for Theater mode.

Enter the room's overall size. Length runs the up/downstage axis (Y), width runs the stage-left/right axis (X).
Add a stage now or skip it and add one later.

No stage has been added to this room yet.
Set the origin and rotation to align with default speaker placement in Venue Synthesis. Speakers will be placed along the X (red) axis aiming toward the positive Y (green) axis.

Instrument offset relative to the venue's true center.
Define the overall arena footprint by setting the length of the straight sections between the corners. Set the lengths of the long straight side and the short straight width. To create a continuous revolution at the ends of the arena, set the Short Straight Width to 0.
Edit the cross-section coordinates, line-of-sight gaps, seatback offsets and groups.
